Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center is located in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is home to 270 students. The center has three residence halls on campus, including a new female-only dorm.

Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center offers training and education in the following career technical areas:

  • Business Technology
  • Carpentry
  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Food Service
  • Health Occupations
  • Safety Officer

Partnerships with local employers give students real-world experience in the career technical areas of their choice. The center also partners with local community colleges to offer additional training and education opportunities.

Life for students on campus includes the opportunity to participate in recreational activities including art classes, billiards, clubs, dances and athletics such as baseball, basketball, bowling, flag football and softball. Leadership opportunities are available through the center’s ambassador and residence hall leadership programs.
